Adopt a Cardinal

By on in

When I first heard about this new (and awesome) initiative, there were only about 18,000 people on board.  As of this writing, there are just under 125,000 faithful men and women who have promised to pray for our Cardinals during the next few weeks.

So…what is it?

Adopt a Cardinal is a website where you do exactly that!  Follow the link, put in your name and email address (they promise they won’t share your personal information) and *poof* you will be assigned a Cardinal to pray for before and during the conclave and for three days following the election.

You’ll even get an email with a few details about your Cardinal and a photo.  And, there’s even an option to share via social media!

So, what are you waiting for?  Go adopt a Cardinal!  And then post the link, and the name of your Cardinal, to Facebook or Twitter, so your friends and followers can join in the fun.

What a great way to celebrate the Universal Church and to support our Cardinals in a meaningful way!

Here’s who we’re praying for over at My Year of Faith:

Megan is praying for Cardinal Donald Wuerl from the United States.

Emily is praying for Cardinal Attilio Nicora from Italy.

Nate is praying for Cardinal Audrys Juozas Bačkis from Lithuania.

Cindy is praying for Cardinal Paolo Romeo from Italy.

Christina is praying for Cardinal Sean Brady from Ireland.

So, who will you be praying for?
